The Mornings We Hardly Notice
School mornings have their own kind of rush.
Breakfast is happening. Somebody can't find something. A school bag that was definitely by the door last night is suddenly nowhere to be seen.
Then comes the question: “Where's your other shoe?”
Nobody knows. 😂
Somewhere between breakfast, fixing hair, finding the missing shoe and checking the time again, everyone eventually makes it towards the door.
Most mornings like this don't feel special. You're trying to get through them without forgetting a lunchbox. But children grow in the middle of all this.
One day you're fixing a jacket before they leave. Another day they're doing it themselves. The backpack gets bigger. The goodbye gets quicker.
You probably won't remember what everyone had for breakfast on an ordinary Wednesday morning. You might remember the little wave before they walked away.
The School Morning is our film about those familiar mornings — a little rushed, a little messy and part of a family story before anyone realises it.
